Matt Merrell is 21 years old from Portland, Texas where he graduated from high School as a student athlete. He has been racing successfully for three years starting with dwarfs, moving to asphalt modifieds and super late models. Matt is personable, attractive and the kids love him.

Matt began his racing career in 2004 at the age of eighteen. In the Texas Dwarf Car Association, he won Rookie of the Year honors, South Points Championship and the State Points Championship. In the 2005 Texas Asphalt Modified Series, he earned Rookie of the Year, tied for most wins (3) and finished 4th in the Championship. In 2006, he ran the USRA
Super Late Model Series, finishing with two wins, Rookie of the Year honors and 2nd place in the points championship.
