Win-Tron Racing Looking To Make Sweet Memories At Daytona

DAYTONA BEACH, Florida (February 3, 2009) - - The green flag is about to fall on another ARCA RE/MAX Series (ARS) season and Lakeville, Minnesota’s Win-Tron Racing is excited to be part of the action. The team heads to Daytona International Speedway this week looking more than just being a part of the action but instead making some sweet memories in Saturday’s Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200.

Often at the front and near control in the ARCA RE/MAX Series, Win-Tron Racing heads to the “World Center of Racing” looking to surge their restrictor plate performance and put their No. 32 TOYOTA Camry in contention and generate a well-deserved return to victory lane.

James Buescher, the youngest winner in ARCA RE/MAX Series history will pilot the team’s No. 32 Wolfpack Rentals TOYOTA while adding another milestone in his already impressive resume by making career start number one at the 2.5-mile superspeedway.   Buescher will also compete in a limited ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule for Win-tron Racing this year.

Win-Tron Racing is the first to admit that Talladega didn’t exactly go as planned last October. After flirting with the top-spot in practice, Buescher pushed his Kevin Cywinski-Nate Thiesse owned TOYOTA to his first restrictor plate pole, ironically occurring in also Buescher’s inaugural restrictor plate effort. The race though didn’t go as planned. As the field came to the green flag, Buescher experienced transmission failure which forced an early exit from the event and a disappointing finish for the team.

Needless to say, Daytona is serving as a prime opportunity for the team to rebound in spectacular fashion.

Win-Tron Racing Co-Owner Nate Thiesse is eager to get the season rolling. “James is back and we’re ready to go,” Thiesse noted. “We’re proud to be back with TOYOTA and we’re looking forward to producing a strong finish this weekend.”

Wolfpack Rentals will serve as the marketing partner on the former Bill Davis Racing TOYOTA Camry for Saturday’s event.

Since 2007, Buescher has 14 career ARCA RE/MAX Series starts with one victory at USA International Speedway (March 2007). He has four top-five finishes and eight top-10 efforts to his credit. Buescher holds one pole position at Talladega Superspeedway in October 2008. He had led 165 laps in six RE/MAX Series events.

The Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 at Daytona (80 laps/200 miles) is the first of 22 events on the 2009 ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule. The 46th ARCA race held at Daytona is a three-day show. Practice begins Thursday, February 5 with a five hour practice session planned from 12:00-5:00 p.m. ARCA pole qualifying is set for Friday, February 6 slated to begin at 12:00 p.m. A one hour and five minute final practice session is etched in on Friday evening from 5:10pm-6:15 p.m. The event will take the green flag on Saturday, February 7 shortly after 4:00 p.m. The race will be televised live on SPEED with additional race coverage including live timing and scoring and radio broadcast through the ARCA Racing Network (ARN) online at arcaracing.com.  All times are local.
