Justin Marks, Win-Tron Racing Iowa Speedway Advance
Newton, IA (July 6, 2010)- Justin Marks and the No. 32 Win-Tron Racing team return to ARCA Racing Series action this weekend at Iowa Speedway after the series took a four week hiatus from competition. Luck played a factor in Marks’ last event at Michigan International Speedway, as he held onto a fourth place finish after suffering from a broken left front shock for nearly the entire 100 laps. The top-five finish helped him stay right in the thick of the championship battle as he remains in second spot just 35 points leader Patrick Sheltra heading into Iowa.
During the time off, Marks has stayed busy with an entrepreneurial project he has taken on with his business partner and close friend, NASCAR driver Michael McDowell. The duo recently announced their plans to begin building the Mooresville Motorplex in Mooresville, North Carolina. Fueled by their love of go karting, Mooresville Motorplex will be a world class karting track and facility, complete with kart and parts sales, training clinics, on-site storage garages, and plans to host international karting events. The projected opening date is set for Spring 2011, with ground breaking to begin within the next six weeks.
Justin will make his 50th career ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards start at Iowa this weekend. Thus far in his career he's collected one win, nine top-five and 19 top-10 finishes, along with two poles in the series. This season he has also logged four top-five finishes in just eight starts. Saturday night’s Prairie Meadows 200 will be Justin’s third start at Iowa Speedway with his best finish at the .875-mile oval coming in 2006. Driving the RAB Racing No. 65, he marched forward from the 30th starting spot to finish third. Win-Tron Racing has previously enjoyed success at Iowa as well, winning the pole and finishing third in 2007 with driver Michael Annett at the controls.
To prepare for this weekend’s action, the team traveled to Iowa last week for a test session in their No. 32 Construct Corps Toyota Camry. Pleased with the results of that test, driver and team are looking forward to the 175-mile main event, which is scheduled to air live on SPEED at 9 pm EST. Qualifying will take place at 6 pm EST, with live timing and scoring beginning earlier in the day for the first practice session at 11 am EST on ARCARacing.com.

I've been to Iowa a couple of times in ARCA before and had my first top-five finish there at the end of the 2006 season. It’s an awesome facility and a track that I really like. It’s sort of a home track for me since my family is from Missouri and Illinois, so we definitely want to run good there. We’ve had a lot of time off in between Iowa and Michigan, and we worked really hard to tune on the cars just a little bit to give us a little more of an edge. I'm pretty confident after the test that we'll have a great piece for this weekend.

We've had some success at Iowa Speedway in the past but we've been bitten there recently, so we're hoping to go back there this weekend and put our record back on track. Overall, we were pleased with the outcome of the test and feel that it will be beneficial for this weekend.
When everything has gone his way, Justin has proven he is no slouch at Iowa Speedway. I distinctly remember Justin’s performance at Iowa in 2007. He started deep in the field but impressed everyone as he was able to slice and dice his way through the field and found himself in the hunt for the win before settling for a strong top-five position. It just shows that no matter where we start, Justin will know how to maneuver his way around the track.
